melissa · 1 year agoDoesn't that practice violate the basic principles that made the web the force it is today? It is the very global, inclusive nature of the internet that has created exponential growth for businesses, blogs, websites etc. If you start choosing who can and cannot view your content (on a public website) you are only hurting yourself!

Doug Quance · 1 year agoI hate to break it to ya... but after all - it IS their website(s). I am fairly sure that there is a logical reason for this. Perhaps the countries, themselves, are blocking certain websites...

@JoeHobot · 1 year ago@Doug Quance: Understandable ( is their website(s)) but then again, let say you read NYT every day, you go to Paris suddenly you can't view it because its blocking France. Would that piss you off?

Emily Williams · 1 year agoFrom what I've seen, it all has to do with copyrights. But it sucks. I would happily watch TV shows legally through the networks or a service like Hulu, but since they don't work for me (I live in Chile) I end up on sites that I'm sure are not giving revenue back to the programs. Globalize or lose money and viewers, simple as that.
